1 Hart, 1 Mind, 1 Future gathers information from Parent/Carers and Professionals and using these unique shared experiences will help to shape the development and delivery of services to our children and young people.
The Forum takes part in many consultations and participation work and shares this information with Hartlepool and surrounding areas via newsletters, information events and social media, to enable Parents, Carers and young people gain greater knowledge and understanding of the services that are available within our community. These may be delivered by health, education, specialist provision, advocacy services, local authority and/or the voluntary sector.

Why Get Involved
You are the expert. If you are the parent of a child who has Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities, then you are an expert on the support and services that your child and their family need.
Influence.
The Forum monitors and helps shape participation and awareness with Parents. We have influenced and shaped current and future service provision for families.
Voice.
Provides a central voice for Parents and Carers of children and young adults with SEN / complex learning / medical needs and disabilities. We have raised awareness about Parents’ real concerns with a collective voice.
Support.
The Forum will signpost Parents and Carers regarding health, education, social services and other agencies in and around Hartlepool.
